Associate Consultant Adult Cardiology

Principal Duties:
I. Participate and perform as a second On-Call physician for monthly roster in Adult Cardiology,
2, Provide care for Adult Cardiology in-patients and out-patients at King Abdulaziz Medical City (KAMC).
3. Participate in the divisional educational and research activities.
4. Participate in the management of acutely ill patients presenting with acute cardiac conditions.
5. Perform duties and patient care in the sub-specialty of interest under section head supervision.
6. Must be flexible and cooperative in covering clinical duties as needed,
7. Participate in the supervision of residents, interns and students rotating in cardiac services.
8, Participate in initiation of management action plans as required for all critically ill patients during the on-call duties.
9, Participate in the Quality Management activities,
10. Participate in the diagnostic, Echocardiography service and therapeutic laboratory procedures in relation to Adult Cardiology and other laboratory aspects that might develop in the future. s
I l. Must adhere to departmental and hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
12. Must be accountable to the Head Section and Chairman to carry out the above taslß on a "higher professional level",

Education : 1. Must have a Bachelor's Degree of Medicine from a recognized medical school.
2. Successful completion of a structured Residency Training Program acceptable to the NGHA.
3. Must be certified in and accredited in a primary/specialty board by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS).
4. Must have had successfully completed an accredited sub-specialty Fellowship Program acceptable to the NGHA

5-certification in Echocardiography

Work Experience: Ideally a minimum of two (2) years of experience in an Adult Cardiology specialty abroad in a program acceptable to the NGHA.

English language skills: Level I-Essential.

Arabic language skills: Preferred.

Computer skills: Proficient level- Essentia
