Consultant Pediatric Oncology

Main Duties & Responsibilities: 

1. Independently provide direct patient care in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. (ward rounds, clinics, On-calls).
2. Independently provide consultations to other specialties in the hospital.
3. Perform Bone marrow aspirates , biopsies and other related procedures.
4. Prescribe and administer medications (chemotherapeutic agents).
5. Participate in the department / division administrative meetings.
6. Participate in the department / division educational meetings (journal club, tumor board, lectures, etc)
7. Participate in the department / division research activities.
8. Participate in the hospital / department committees upon request.
9. To supervise the sub consultant physicians.
10. Participate in training and education of rotating residents and junior staff members.
11. Perform and cover other duties as delegated by the chairman or division head.
12. Adhere strictly to all hospital policies and procedures.
13. Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Education:

Must have a Bachelor's Degree of Medicine from a recognized medical school.

Successful completion of a structured Residency Training Program acceptable to the NGHA.

Must be certified in and accredited in a primary/specialty board by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).

Must have had successfully completed an accredited sub-specialty Fellowship Program acceptable to the NGHA.

Work Experience:

1 year post training experience as Associate in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

English Language Skills:  Level 1- Essential

Arabic Language Skills:  Preferred

Computer Skills:  Proficient Level - Essential
