Assistant Consultant Pediatric Oncology

Main duties & Responsibilities: 

1. Assists in providing patient care in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, under supervision of the most responsible physician, (ward rounds, clinics, on-calls).
2. Assists in consultations to other specialties in the hospital.
3. Perform Bone marrow aspirates, biopsies, and other related procedures under supervision of the most responsible physician.
4. Assists in prescribing and administering medications (chemotherapeutic agents), under supervision of the MRP.
5. Participate in the department / division educational activities (journal club, tumor board, lectures, etc).
6. Participate in the department / division research activities.
7. Participate in the hospital / department committees up on request.
8. Participate in training and education of rotating residents and junior staff members.
9. Perform and cover other duties as delegated by the Deputy Chairman or Division Head.
10. Adhere strictly to all hospital policies and procedures.
11. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education:

Must have a Bachelor's Degree of Medicine from a recognized medical school.

Successful completion of a structured Residency Training Program acceptable to the NGHA.

Must be certified in and accredited in a primary/specialty board by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).

Work Experience:

At least three (3) years of pediatric clinical experience in a recognized hospital/institution. A registered member of the Saudi Board Council (essential). Training certificates in specialized field 

English Language Skills:  Level 1- Essential

Arabic Language Skills:  Preferred

Computer Skills:  Proficient Level - Essential
