Job Description
Main duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists in providing patient care in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, under supervision of the most responsible physician, (ward rounds, clinics, on-calls).
- Assists in consultations to other specialties in the hospital.
- Perform Bone marrow aspirates, biopsies, and other related procedures under supervision of the most responsible physician.
- Assists in prescribing and administering medications (chemotherapeutic agents), under supervision of the MRP.
- Participate in the department / division educational activities (journal club, tumor board, lectures, etc).
- Participate in the department / division research activities.
- Participate in the hospital / department committees up on request.
- Participate in training and education of rotating residents and junior staff members.
- Perform and cover other duties as delegated by the Deputy Chairman or Division Head.
- Adhere strictly to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree of Medicine from a recognized medical school.
Successful completion of a structured Residency Training Program acceptable to the NGHA.
Must be certified in and accredited in a primary/specialty board by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
Work Experience:
At least three (3) years of pediatric clinical experience in a recognized hospital/institution. A registered member of the Saudi Board Council (essential). Training certificates in specialized field
