Job Description
Principle Duties :
1. He is governed by the responsibilities outlined in the Medical Staff Bylaws.
2. Expected to be present in the working vicinity during normal working hours.
3. To be available for contact at any time while in town.
4. Works under the supervision of a consultant and the Section Head, Division of General Surgery.
5. Allowed certain aspects of primary care responsibilities within his approved privileges. These are defined and supervised by the senior consultant and approved by the Section Head, Division of General Surgery.
6. Carries assigned specific duties within the Division of General Surgery with restricted responsibilities as requested by his immediate senior and approved by the Section Head, Division of General Surgery.
7. Has no admission privilege.
8. Provide and promote a high standard quality of general surgery surgical care.
9. Participate in training and education of junior staff.
10. Attend and participate in all general surgery division academic activities and research. l l . Attend and participate in all division meetings.
12. Attend and participate in the Department of Surgery staff meetings,
13. Active involvement and participation in the ongoing quality management program.
14. Meet the CME requirements of Saudi specialization.
15. Ensure approval of proper TRA by the Chairman before going on leave.
16. Maintains the spirit of the teamwork in the Division of General Surgery.
17. Operate in the OR within his approved privileges.
18. Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Education: Graduate from a medical school recognized by NGHA. Successful completion of a structured, accredited residency training program acceptable to NGI-IA. Certification by the appropriate specialty board approved by the Saudi Council for Health Specialties and acceptable to NGHA. {Essential }
Experience: Training and post-training is less than seven (7) years. The candidate should have a minimum of two (2) years experience in a tertiary care center in General Surgery after certification. {Essential }
