Job Description
- To provide high standard patient care in accordance with the NGHA mission, vision and values in the department of Pediatrics under supervision of consultant(s).
- To provide inpatient care for the patients with neurological disorders admitted to the hospital under the name of the consultant whom he/she works with.
- To participate in the delivery of health care to pediatric Neurology patients in the ambulatory care setting.
- To provide consultation service other divisions within the department of pediatrics, and other departments within the hospital during the regular working and the on-call hours.
- To perform relevant diagnostic and therapeutic interventions and procedures for which he/she is granted specific privileging condition approved by the department of pediatrics and the organization.
- To participate in the on-call coverage in accordance with the rules and regulations of the division of pediatric neurology, the department and the organization.
- To provide close supervision of the clinical performance of staff physician and physicians in pediatric neurology training (Interns, resident and fellow) and neurophysiology technologists and the students as appropriate.
- To participate in scientific research, contribute, into the department educational activities and postgraduate training programs, and to serve the committees as directed by the chairman of the department or the executive management of the organization.
- To optimally utilize resources, show continues evidence of self-development and participates in quality improvement program of the department.
- To adhere to all rules and regulations of division of neurology, department of pediatrics and the organization and to comply with the both APPs and DPPs.
- To perform other relevant duties and tasks as directed by the chairman of the department.
- To comply with all the professions and ethical standards and express adherence to the medical staff bylaws of the organization.
- To show the expected, at all times to patients and their families, colleagues, subordinates and all other members of the health care team.
- Perform other job-related duties.
Skills
MBBS or equivalent from an accredited institution- Essential Saudi Board Pediatric Neurology.
Minimum of 3 Training and certification in Basic Life Support BLS and Pediatric Advanced Life Support PALS every 2 years.
