MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provides patient care that meets the standards set by the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) and Joint Commission International (JCI), in alignment with the MNGHA mission, vision, and values.
• Provides inpatient care and outpatient neurology services under his/her name and responsibility, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic neurological procedures for which he/she has been granted specific privileges based on training, qualifications, and experience (e.g., lumbar puncture, botox injection, EEG, NCS, EMG, evoked potentials).
• Provides consultations to physicians in other specialties or subspecialties within the organization, both during regular hours and on-call coverage.
• Participates in neurology on-call rotations in accordance with the rules and regulations of the department of neurology.
• Actively participates in the educational programs of the hospital, particularly the residency and fellowship training programs, through bedside teaching, lectures, and supervision of trainees.
• Provides close supervision and guidance to residents, interns, neurophysiology techinicians, and junior staff, ensuring the highest standards of professional conduct and patient care.
• Participates in approved clinical research activities, contributing to scientific development, data collection, and publication of findings.
• Actively participates in quality improvement and patient safety programs of the section and department.
• Participates in departmental and divisional committees and other administrative duties as appointed by the head of section, the chairman of neurology, the Deputy Executive Director of Neuroscience and Trauma Center, or the Executive Director, Medical Services, WR.
• Fulfills all obligations related to patient records, documentation, and reporting in accordance with institutional policies.
• Ensures compliance with all rules, regulations, and bylaws of the hospital, department, and professional licensing authorities.
• Demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, and respect in all interactions with patients, families, colleagues, and members of the healthcare team.
• Performs other duties as directed by the head of section, the chairman of neurology, the Deputy Executive Director of Neuroscience and Trauma Center, or the Executive Director, Medical Services, WR.
Skills
Education
• The candidate must have graduated from an accredited medical school and possess an MBBS, MD or equivalent degree, with successful completion of a structured and accredited neurology residency training program acceptable to MNGHA.
• Must hold certification by an appropriate specialty board in neurology, such as the Saudi Neurology Board, the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, or other equivalent boards approved by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• Completion of at least one (1) year neurology subspecialty fellowship is required, and/or a minimum of three (3) years of post-board certification experience.
Work Experience
• Minimum total of seven (7) years of combined training and post-training experience in the field of neurology.

English Language: Level – I – Essential
