STAFF PHYSICIAN GENERAL SURGERY

• He is governed by the responsibilities outlined in the Medical Staff Bylaws.
• Provides high quality of surgical care consistent with his experience.
• Operate in the OR within his approved privileges.
• Expected to be present and productive during normal working hours.
• To be available for contact at any time while in town.
• Works under the supervision of the Section Head, Division of General Surgery or designee.
• Allowed primary care responsibility as defined by the supervisor who may also take over aspects of the cases, as necessary.
• May be assigned specific duties within his division with restricted responsibilities.
• Does not admit in his name.
• Involved in the instruction and education of the residents.
• Attend and participate in all division meetings, educational programs of the division and attend the department of surgery meeting.
• Participate in the ongoing quality management program.
• Meet the CME requirements of Saudi specialization.
• Ensure approval of proper TRA by the Chairman before going on leave.
• Maintains the spirit of the teamwork in the Division of General Surgery.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

 Essential and Preferred Requirements: (P-Preferred, E-Essential, B-Beneficial)

Education:

• Graduate from a medical school recognized by NGHA. {E}
