Principal Duties:
1. Participate in the on-call duties as a first on-call covering ER Consultation, hospital consultation and inpatient adult cardiology units.
2. Provide routine patient care in adult cardiology in both in-patient and out-patient settings.
3. Participate in the divisional educational activities and research projects.
4. Participate in the management of acutely ill patients presenting with acute cardiac conditions.
5. Perform duties on rotational basis in different areas/services of adult cardiology.
6. Must complete the intubation course.
7. Must be cooperative and flexible to do coverage as needed by members of the adult cardiology team.
8. Perform patient/chart screening for out-patient cardiology consultations.
9. Participate in the supervision and educational activities for residents rotating in cardiac services.
10. Initiate management action plan as required to all critically ill patients during on-call duties, in consultation with a senior staff.
ll. Participate in the Quality Management activities.
12. Participate in the diagnostic and therapeutic laboratory aspects of adult cardiology and any other laboratory procedures that might develop in the future.
13. Must adhere to departmental and hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
14. Must be accountable to the Head Section and Chairman to carry out the above tasks on a “higher professional level”.
Education:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree of Medicine from a recognized medical school.
- Must be a registered member in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS).
- Postgraduate Training certificates in specialized fields.
- Must be a Board certified in Primary Specialty (medicine).

English language skills: Level I-Essential.
Arabic language skills: Preferred.
Computer skills: Professional level- Essential.
