Assistant Consultant Adult Medical Oncology

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in providing patient care in Adult Medical Oncology, under supervision of the most responsible physician (MRP), (ward rounds, clinics, on-calls).
• Assist in consultations to other specialties in the hospital.
• Perform Bone marrow aspirates and other related procedures under supervision of the MRP.
• Assists in prescribing and administering medications (chemotherapeutic agents), under supervision of the MRP.
• Participate in department / division educational activities (journal club, tumor board, lectures, ets.)
• Participate in the department / division research activities.
• Participate in the hospital / department committees upon request.
• Participate in training and education of rotating residents and junior staff members.
• Perform and cover other duties as delegated by the chairman or division head.
• Adhere strictly to all hospital policies and procedures.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Education:

MBBS or MD degree with training in specialty and subspeciality – E; Internal Medicine Board or Equivalent – E; A registered member of Saudi Board Council and Training Certificates in specialist field – E from an accredited institution – Essential

 Work Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in  Medical Oncology in a recognized hospital / institution - E (post board preferred)

Language and Computer Skills:

English language: Level - I – Essential

Arabic Language: Preferred

Computer: Level - II – Preferred
