Assistant Consultant Infection Prevention & Control

Education:

• Bachelor Degree in Medicine or MBBS from and accredited institution
• Successful completion of an MNGHA acceptable Residency Training/ Subspecialty in prevention medicine, community medicine, or related discipline
• Fellowship training program in Preventive Medicine, Community Medicine, Occupational Medicine approved by Saudi Council for Health Specialties

Work Experience:

Additional two to three years’ experience in position related

Main duties & Responsibilities: 

1. Participate in Planning, Implementing and evaluating public health programs at Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs in conjunction with local public health agencies.
2. Participate in developing criteria and conducting on-site visits for evaluating and analyzing information related to public health programs in cooperation with involved departments/ staff
3. Participate in developing, reviewing, policies and procedure related to public health programs and for infection prevention and control manual.
4. Maintain current knowledge of international guidelines and National regulations and ensure that the facility leaders are informed of appropriate interventions.
5. Participate in designing and implementing educational and awareness programs for the military and National guard population, and training activities for the staff and student at the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs
6. Developing educational materials, newsletters and other documents aiming to enhance public awareness to health issues.
7. Assist and supervise public health coordinators for proper intervention as directed by Public Health and Infection Prevention and Control directors.
8. Perform other job related duties.
