Consultant Adult Medical Oncology

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently provide direct patient care in Adult Medical Oncology (ward rounds, clinics, and on-calls).
• Independently provide consultations to other specialties in the hospital.
• Perform bone marrow aspirates, biopsies and other related procedures.
• Prescribe and administer medications (chemotherapeutic agents).
• Participate in the department / division administrative meetings.
• Participate in the department / division educational activities (journal club, tumor board, lecture, etc.)
• Participate in the department / division research activities.
• Participate in the hospital / department committees upon request.
• To supervise the sub consultant physicians.
• Participate in training and education of rotating residents and junior staff members.
• Perform and cover other duties as delegated by the chairman or division head.
• Adhere strictly to all hospital policies and procedures.
• Perform other job related duties.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

A bachelor’s degree from a recognized medical school - E; Internal Medicine Board or Equivalent-E; Medical Oncology Board or Fellowship – E; A registered member of the Saudi Board Council Training and Certificates in specialist field – E.

Work experience:

At least three (3) years of clinical experience in recognized hospital / institution – E (post board)

Language and Computer Skills:

English Language: Level-I-Essential

Arabic Language: Preferred

Computer: Level-II-Preferred

Basic medical degree and Internal Medicine Board, or Medical Oncology Board or Fellowship
