Consultant Anesthesiology

Principle Duties :

•  Provide high quality anesthesia care to the patient clientele.
• Provide consultation services to patients as requested.
• Supervise anesthetists of lower grades, with particular reference to staff physicians.
• Teach and supervise residents in the Anesthesia Residency Program.
• Participate in departmental and hospital teaching activities.
• Participate in and initiate research activities.
• Participate in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
• Maintain a list of privileges, and work within the confines of that perimeter.
• Understand and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures pertaining to medical practice.
• Participate in the quality improvement and reviews conducted by the Department of Anesthesia.
• Perform other related duties as appropriate and as assigned. I 2. Undertake continuing medical education activities.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

  Education: Graduation from a recognized medical school of good standing, completion of required period of training in anesthesia and/or subspecialty of anesthesia, with Saudi/Arab or North American/European Board Certification/ Membership/Fellowship status or equivalent.

  Experience: Have 4 years post certification experience in anesthesia preferably with 1 year North American/European/Australian experience.
