CONSULTANT RHEUMATOLOGY

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides patient care that meets or exceeds the standards set by the JCIA.
• Provides inpatient care and runs outpatient clinics in his/her name and responsibility.
• These services are in the field of Rheumatology Section.
• Performs diagnostic or therapeutic interventions for which he/she has been granted specific privileges based on his/her training, experience and skills.
• Provides consultations to physicians in other specialties or subspecialties.
• Participates in Rheumatology Section on-call rotations, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Section and the Department of Medicine.
• Actively participates in the educational programs of the hospital, particularly the
• Residency/Fellowship training program.
• Participates in approved clinical research activities.
• Actively participates in Quality Improvement activities.
• Provides close supervision of the clinical performance and activity of subordinates, especially those in training.
• Fulfills his/her obligations related to Patient Records.
• Serves in committees as appointed by the Head of the Section, the Chairman of
• Medicine or the Executive Director, Medical Services, WR.
• Performs other duties as directed by the Head of Section, the Chairman of Medicine or the Executive Director, Medical Services, WR.

Education:

• The candidate must have graduated from an accredited Medical School and possess a Doctor of Medicine Degree, plus completion of Internal Medicine Residency Training Program, two years Rheumatology Fellowship Training

 Work Experience:

Fellowship from relevant Royal College in North American Specialty, Board Certification P or Equivalent
