Electrocardiographic Technologist III

• Responsible for conducting electrocardiographic (ECG) procedures on patients, ensuring all work is in line with standards of clinical practice, patient safety, policies, procedures, regulating and accrediting bodies.
• Prepare patients and diagnostic equipment/ materials used for ECG procedures including treadmill exercise testing, Holter machine and 24-hour BP apparatus. Collect and review pertinent medical, historical and medication information in order to perform an appropriate study prescribed by the physician. Verify patient’s identification, explain the procedures, and notify physician when immediate medical attention is necessary based on patient’s conditions.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain diagnostic equipment including identifying and correcting any wandering, interference and artifact; protect and assist patients; identify the relevant activity of the heart as produced in a specific equipment/apparatus; and prepare preliminary report of findings for final analysis and interpretation of the physician. • Ensure optimal utilization of resources; implement quality improvement to achieve optimal patient results. Ensure safe and efficient working equipment, reporting faults and problems through the appropriate channels. • Attend and participate in educational and professional growth activities related to the assigned area; promote a positive and collaborative atmosphere with members of the healthcare team; attend departmental and other meetings, as required. • Maintain all records pertaining to ECG unit.

Education

Bachelor Degree in Cardiac Technology or related field from an accredited institution –Essential

Basic Life Support Certificate – Essential
Registration with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties-Essential

Work Experience | Minimum of 1 (one) year position-related practical experience or equivalent post-graduate
training/SCDP – Essential

English Language Level – I – Essential
