duties and responsibilities:
- To provide high-standards of patient care in accordance with the MNGHA mission, vision and values in the specialty of Geriatric Medicine within the Department of Medicine under the supervision of a consultant internist.
- To provide inpatient and outpatient care under the direct supervision of the Consultant and Associate Consultant, Division of Geriatric Medicine.
- To provide under the direct supervision of a Consultant/Associate Consultant, Division of Geriatric Medicine, consultation service to the other division within the Department of Medicine and other department within the organization.
- To perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventions and procedures for which he/she is granted specific privileges conditions recommended by the Division of Geriatric Medicine and approved by the Department of Medicine and the organization.
- To participate in the on-call coverage according to the rules and regulations of the Division of Geriatric Medicine, Department of Medicine and the organization.
- To participate in scientific research, contribute to the Department of Medicine and Division of Geriatric Medicine educational activities and to serve departmental committees as directed by the Head, Division of Geriatric Medicine and Chairman, Department of Medicine.
- To adhere to all rules and regulations of the Division of Geriatric Medicine, Department of Medicine and the organization and to comply with both the APPs and IPPs.
- To optimally utilize resources, show evidence of continuous self-development and participate in the Quality Improvement program of the Department of Medicine.
- To perform other relevant duties and charges as directed by the Head, Division of Geriatric Medicine or the Chairman, Department of Medicine.
- To comply with all professional and ethical standards and express adherence to the Medical Staff By-Laws and the By-Laws of the organization.
- To show the expected respect, at all times, to patients, their families, colleagues, subordinates and all other members of the healthcare team.
Perform other job related duties.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in medicine. Graduation from a Medicine school recognized by MNGHA.
Successful completion of a structured accredited Residency Training Program in Internal Medicine acceptable to the MNGHA. Certification by the appropriate Specialty Board approved by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and acceptable to the MNGHA. Superior or above performance in areas of patient care and teaching/training activities from an accredited institution - Essential
work experience:
Experience in appropriate health care facility or other related specialty. Completion of a structured accredited Residency Training Program. Minimum of 1 (one) - Essential
