Staff Physician - Home Health Care

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Medicine and Surgery from an accredited institution/ Board Certified- E

Work Experience:

• Five ( 5 ) years post registration in general medicine and 3 years full time family physician in established teaching hospital. E
• Registered Medical Practitioner- Graduate from accredited medical school in North America or Europe or equivalent. - E

Main duties & Responsibilities: 

1. To carry out initial patient medical assessments to establish whether the patient is suitable for medical care at home under the Home Health Care Center criteria.
2. To assess patients at home and create a care plan end subsequent visit frequency.
3. To make regular routine patient assessments for patients with chronic conditions and emergency home visits are required.
4. To maintain patient's medication supplies in between their hospital appointments
5. To provide advice and health education for both patients and family members/caregivers about specific health problems and advice on how to prevent complications.
6. To monitor disease progress of patients under palliative care involving reviewing treatments, consultant contracts and rehospitalization.
7. To provide a database for prospective research projects (i.e. community nutrition, influence of socio-economic deprivation on Saudi diabetes with complications and illness patients in elderly Saudis).
8. Perform other job related duties.
