MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in providing patient care in Adult Hematology, under supervision of the most responsible physician (ward rounds, clinics, on-calls). Participate in consultations to other specialties in the hospital.
- Assist in consultations to other specialties in the hospital.
- Perform Bone marrow aspirates, biopsies, and other related procedures under supervision of the MRP.
- Perform lumbar puncture for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes and giving intrathecal chemotherapy.
- Assists in prescribing and administering medications (chemotherapeutic agents), under supervision of the MRP.
- Participate in department/division educational activities (journal club, tumor board, lectures, ets.)
- Participate in the department/division research activities.
- Participate in the hospital/department committees upon request.
- Participate in training and education of rotating residents and junior staff members.
- Perform and cover other duties as delegated by the chairman or division head.
- Adhere strictly to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
A bachelor’s Degree from a recognized medical school – E, A Saudi board in internal Medicine or its equivalent as assessed by the Saudi Commission as Senior Registrar- E, Fellowship in Hematology – P
Work Experience:
Minimum of (2) years of clinical experience in a recognized hospital/institution - E
Skills
Language and Computer Skills:
English language: Level - I – Essential
Arabic Language: Preferred
Computer: Level - II – Preferred
