Assistant Consultant Anesthesiology

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides high quality Anesthesia care and related services to patients.
• Provide Anesthesia consultation services as required.
• Supervise and teach Anesthetists or lower grades, both residents in training and Staff Physician.
• Participate in departmental and hospital teaching activities.
• Participate in or generate research activities.
• Participate in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
• Maintain a list of privileges, and work within the confines of their work experience and skills.
• Understand and adhere to all hospital related policies and procedures pertaining to medical practice.
• Participate in the quality improvement and reviews conducted by the Department of Anesthesia.
• Perform other assigned duties, as appropriate.
• Acquire appropriate computer skills to utilize the hospital's computerization program.
• Undertake continuing medical education activities.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.
  
  Education: Graduation from a recognized medical school of good standing, completion of required period of training in Anesthesia and/or subspecialty of Anesthesia, with Saudi/ Arab or American/ European Board Membership/Fellowship or equivalent.
  Board Certified in Anesthesia
  Work Experience: Minimum of 2 (two) - Post certification experience in Anesthesia preferably with minimum 1 year North America/ European/ Australian experience.
  
  

English Language:Level— I — Essential. Arabic Language : Preferred. Computer skills: Level — IV Essential
