Assistant Consultant Preventive Medicine

Public Health Services:

• Participate in designing, implementing, and maintaining population health monitoring and disease surveillance programs.
• Communicate effectively with the public and take control of their health with appropriate knowledge, skills and positive behaviors.
• Create structured plans and programs based on population health needs and priorities.
• Implement the appropriate Public Health strategies at community level to achieve predetermined health goals.
• Continuous monitoring for the process and outcomes of the programs to define areas of improvement.
• Design tools to assess public health interventions’ efficacy to evaluate implemented public health programs and promote evidenced-based public health practice.

Direct-Patient Preventive Medicine Services:

• Non-communicable disease prevention and Lifestyle Medicine.
• Infectious disease prevention and vaccination.
• Cancer screening: (breast cancer, colorectal cancer, etc.).
• Periodic health checkup and disease screening.
• Mental health counselling.
• Substance abuse and addiction prevention (e.g. smoking cessation).
• Occupational Health and work fitness assessment (e.g. military personnel health and fitness).

Academic, Quality & Research activities:

• Participate in and attend medical and educational activities including both undergraduate and postgraduate.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative health research.
• Participate in audits and other quality activities related to Primary Health Care services.

• English Language: Level I
• Arabic Language: Preferred 
• Computer Skills: Level ll

MBBS - Board Certified with Community Medicine or Preventive Medicine or Public health
