Job Description
Main duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (ward rounds, clinics, on-calls). The level of participation will be determined by the division head and the chairman.
- Participate in consultations to other specialties in the hospital.
- Perform Bone marrow aspirates, biopsies and other related procedures.
- Prescribe and administer medications (chemotherapeutic agents).
- Participate in the department / division administrative meetings.
- Participate in the department / division educational meetings (journal club, tumor board, lectures, etc)
- Participate in the department / division research activities.
- Participate in the hospital / department committees up on request.
- Participate in training and education of rotating residents and junior staff members.
- Perform and cover other duties as delegated by the chairman or division head.
- Adhere strictly to all hospital policies and procedures.
- To supervise the junior staff.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Education:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree of Medicine from a recognized medical school.
Successful completion of a structured Residency Training Program acceptable to the NGHA.
Must be certified in and accredited in a primary/specialty board by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
Work Experience:
2 years post training experience as Assistant Consultant in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
