Job Description
• Drive heavy motor vehicles within and between assigned MNGHA areas and to all local communities within the assigned region as well as across regions, as and when might be required. Transport and deliver wide variety of items, materials, supplies and equipment to specific location.
• Take responsibility for high-value items, materials, supplies and equipment. Transport them from one location to another as required.
• Ensure items, materials, supplies and equipment are properly loaded, secured and arrived to the designated drop point quickly and in good condition. Assist vendors or departments trucks in loading/unloading and stockpiling of items. Assist in preparing the storage location for new items.
• Complete logs and reports, such as recording mileage before and after each trip, reviewing and logging delivery items, reporting facts concerning accidents, etc.
• Strictly adhere to safety rules and standards, driving laws / traffic regulations, scheduled routes, department’s transporting protocols and other guidelines.
• Communicate with the Immediate Supervisor to exchange information and receive requests for required delivery/ transportation.
• Keep the assigned delivery truck in a clean and neat condition at all times.
• Ensure that the vehicle registration and other required documentation is always available and updated.
• Ensure the assigned vehicle’s proper operation; inspect its condition before and after each trip. Perform routine heavy vehicle maintenance such as regulating tire pressure, adding gasoline, oil and water. Notify the Immediate Supervisor of any vehicle problems.
• Comply with all relevant MNGHA policies and procedures.
• Perform other job related duties.
Skills
Education
High School graduate – Essential
Diploma Degree in any discipline – Preferred
Valid KSA driving license for Heavy Trucks ( vehicles ) – Essential
Work Experience
Minimum of one (1) year Driving experience within the KSA – Essential
Or post one (1) year SCDP in the same field – Essential
Competencies
Ability to operate tow-trucks
Ability to operate vehicles in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
Ability to make deliveries and collections rapidly and efficiently
Reliability, punctuality and precision
Ability to cope well with pressure
Physical strength and stamina
