FIRE EXTINGUISHER TECHNICIAN

\"MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Inspect, repair and test fire extinguishers using hand tools, hydrostatic test equipment and monitoring devices.
• Hydro-test high pressure cylinders.
• Dismantle extinguishers, examine mechanical parts, extinguishing agents, and expelling means; replaces worn
or damaged parts.
• Clean extinguishers and recharge them with approved materials.
• Ensure that a satisfactory number of spare fire extinguishers is available at all times, and immediately report
any deflation of spare quantity to immediate superior.
• Ensure that the fire extinguishers used for fire training are well maintained, checked and refilled regularly.
• Attend automatic fire extinguishing system inspection and tests.
• Maintain records of all program portable fire extinguishers, ensuring that the type, location and assignment
are updated.
• Responsible for checking the fire training ground ensuring that the equipment and materials used for fire
training are maintained.
• Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.

\"REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Diploma Degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Science or related discipline from an accredited institution – Essential; or High School with Certificate of Training in Fire Prevention or other relevant training courses or equivalent (such as NFPA or Fire Prevention or Safety Management) from an accredited institution, or a comprehensive in-house training in combination with relevant ranking – Essential
Certificate in Fire Extinguisher Maintenance and High Pressure Hydro Testing – Preferred
Basic Knowledge of CPR training and BLS – Essential

Work Experience:
High School with relevant certificate:
Minimum of 4 (four) years’ position-related experience or structural firefighting experience in similar setting/environment – Essential
For Diploma degree holder:
Minimum of 1 (one) year position-related experience or structural firefighting experience in similar setting/environment – Essential

Other Requirements:
Valid Saudi Driving License – Essential
