MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for conducting occupational hazard/risk assessment within the MNGHA facilities. Identify employees/departments at risk of biological hazards; chemical hazards including carcinogens and non-carcinogens; physical hazards such as noise, radiation, heat/cold exposures; musculoskeletal injuries; and other work-related hazards such as shift work.
- Coordinate and provide assistance to the concerned MNGHA departments in developing procedures and improving the delivery of services and programs that are aiming to prevent and reduce work-related health problems and occupational hazards.
- Evaluate and monitor occupational health programs continuously to develop and maintain a comprehensive and accurate tracking system.
- Assist Occupational Health physicians in evaluating employees at work and monitoring nurses in occupational health clinic activities (such as Periodic Occupational Health assessment, Staff vaccination clinic and Pre-employment assessment).
- Work with clinical/healthcare providers to assess the activities related to occupational health including the administration of medications, vaccines and treatments; monitoring of patients for side effects and adverse reactions; drawing of blood and collection of urine samples and other body fluids for laboratory work; and,
- Ordering laboratory tests in accordance to MNGHA policies. Maintain occupational health medical records.
- Provide support in all Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs (ASPs) especially in the development and delivery of training packages for nursing, medical and pharmacy staff in order to meet the needs related to health and safety.
- Educate employees on preventive measures against occupational hazards; promote healthy living and safe working conditions. Provide continuous education and in-depth understanding on all national health regulations and policies that concern the health care industry.
- Conduct and assist in research on the effects of workplace exposures, gathering health and hazard-related data. Prepare and present reports and other necessary correspondences, forms and presentations.

Education:
Bachelor Degree in Nursing - Essential
Master Degree in Public Health or related discipline – Preferred
Registration with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties – Essential
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 (two) years’ experience as Occupational Health Nurse, Public Health Nurse, Infection Prevention & Control Nurse or Outpatient Nurse or other position-related experience in a comparable environment – Essential
