Job Description
Main duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise day-to-day clinical, educational and administrative activities of the division.
- Supervise and manage the division staff including evaluation, feedback and performance monitoring.
- Help the Chairman in physicians and staff recruitment and career development of the Division members.
- Prepare Division annual report.
- Help the Chairman develop and implement strategic development plan for the Division by developing an action plan conforming to the Department vision.
- Participate in common Department and institutional functions related to Oncology in person or through Division representative based on the Chairman request.
- Complete specific tasks and projects requested by the Chairman in a timely fashion.
- Chair a monthly staff meeting of the division.
- Encourage and participate in research activities.
- Foster mentorship approach for staff especially physicians and help their career development.
- Assure multidisciplinary, evidence based, guideline driven clinical care in accordance with the accepted standards of internationally recognized professional bodies.
- To supervise and lead the development of operational policies, guideline and audit program.
- To advice the division on the implantation of quality assurance and safety of patient care.
- To advice the NGHA through the Chairman, regarding the division future need for equipment, facilities and staffing, in order to provide up to date patient care.
- Maintain all requirements for a consultant position at the related Division.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree of Medicine from a recognized medical school.
Successful completion of a structured Residency Training Program acceptable to the NGHA.
Must be certified in and accredited in a primary/specialty board by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
Must have had successfully completed an accredited sub-specialty Fellowship Program acceptable to the NGHA.
Work Experience:
3 years post training experience as a Consultant in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology - Essential
Skills
English Language Skills: Level 1- Essential
Arabic Language Skills: Preferred
Computer Skills: Proficient Level - Essential
