Senior Interoperability Specialist

 Gather functional and technical requirements for integration solutions, development support, configuration design, testing, release of integration solutions, and provide ongoing support for integration solutions.
 Document requirements, design, architecture, and test scripts/scenarios, issues, risks/challenges, and status/
progress of integration projects
 Provide direction and training to and communicate with developers on best practices as it pertains to integration standards, security, and performance with internal or external systems
 Provides technical expertise and guidance to system owner, stakeholder and team regarding data strategies to support the integration process.
 Troubleshooting and debugging, under pressure, for critical issues and post-integration activities including monitoring error logs
 Work with the Information Security & Disaster Recovery Department to identify and install security measures.
 Diagnose and review system problems and implement corrective action
 Perform standards of Healthcare integration such Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), Health Level 7 (HL7), Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE), and The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
 Utilize a variety of common system integration methods and technologies including web services, Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), Representational State Transfer (REST), Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Extensible Markup Language (XML), and automated testing frameworks.
 Maintain and keep up to date on latest industry standards for communicating healthcare information systems
 Coordinate system owner requests, assist in preparation of project requirements and plans.
 Perform other job related duties.
