Staff Physician Pediatric Gastroenterology

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

1. To provide patient care for patients admitted to the hospital under Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Pediatrics. The Staff Physician maybe required supervising or covering the day-to-day duties of the team's Senior Resident.
2. To participate in on-call coverage in accordance with the rules and regulations of the division of
Gastroenterology and the Department of Pediatrics, accepting the inconveniences associated with patient's needs during the on-call coverage and discussing patient management with the
Gastroenterology Consultant on duty.
3. To provide consultation services to other divisions within the Department and other departments within the organization during the regular work and on-call hours according to the Department's Policies and Procedures and discuss the management with Gastroenterology Consultant on duty.
4. To actively participate in the quality improvement program of the Department of Pediatrics.
5. To take full responsibilities of the division and hospital's administrative tasks that is assigned. This may include division or hospital standing and ad-hoc committees or presentation of the Division on committees and/or activities outside the hospital.
6. To participate in scientific research and contribute to the department's education activities and postgraduate training programs as per the Department's Policies and Procedures.
7. To regularly participate in educational activities in order to acquire new skills and knowledge to support career advancements.
8. To advocate for the health needs and well-being of children and their families.
9. To adhere to all the rules and regulations of the division of Gastroenterology, Department of Pediatrics and the organization. Staff Physicians are expected to familiarize themselves and comply with both the APPs and DPPs.
10. To perform other relevant clinical duties and charges as directed by Gastroenterology Consultant or the Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics.
11. To comply with all professional and ethical standards and express adherence to the medical staff by-laws of the organization.

Education:

MBBS, or equivalent. 

Work Experience:

Successful completion of a structured accredited Pediatrics residency training program or I year pediatrics experience in an appropriate health care facility acceptable to NGHA.

English Language Skills: Essential, Level I
Arabic Language Skills: Preferred
Computer Skills: Level Preferred/Basic, Level 4
